Error While Trying To Import Feed Options

Hello, I have just installed the trial version of Joomla Aggregator on my website and setup a new feed. I try to import it but I immediately get this error message:

Error: the XML response that was returned from the server is invalid.

while the import is still running endlessly.

FYI, I have ioncube installed on my cpanel server.

PS: I will definitely order the full platinum version if I can make it work.

1. Check extension requirements - problem is probably in memory limit and max execution time. Muts be (memory limit/max execution time) 64 mb/60 sec. or more.
2. Try with other parser - you must use new simple pie for joomla 2.5 version.
3. Try without extras like download images, scraper and others - How to diagnose cron - step by step

4. If again not work, try with other feed.

Please, after your tests, post here results.


P.S. I see now that you write about platinum tril, not for joomla scraper. To order full platinum version? Please, don't do this.

The feed is working OK with Joomla newsfeed component.

I already tried without downloading images and tried various settings but no luck. The message popped up almost immediately.

I added a php.ini file and now the aggregator admin page turns empty. Earlier, I turned on Error Reporting and I was getting a whole bunch of warnings regarding the simplepie.inc ( =& caused them). I think I might forget about the aggregator alltogether and proceed with the Scraper, yes? Is there a demo version for it though?

Problems are with old version of simplepie - not support newer php versions. You can try to use new version. You have folder inc inside components/com_aggregator. Download latest simplepie parser and replace existing inc file in this folder.
