We are using K2. K2 displays intro text in the category listing. when the user clicks the article, they see the full text. We don't want the text split. We want the first X number of characters in the intro text, and then ALL the text in the full text field, including the intro text. How do we accomplish this?

You have option split introtext in publish tab:

1.7.2.

we don't want to split the text. We want the first n characters to show as intro text. The for the full text, we DO NOT want the the full text to begin at the n+1 character, we DO WANT to include the entire post from the beginning.

We dont have 1.7.2 version of scraper, latest is 1.7.0. Try to make result that you want with option: trim intro (#chars).

After trying, if not work in your way, post here example of html code - what you need and what is now.

I am using Scraper 1.5.9 with Joomla 1.5.23 and K2.

I would like the intro text to be the first 293 characters:

Many years ago I was embroiled in a very complex legal battle with a landlord. A big part of the challenge for me was that both the landlord and the partner I was living with at the time had been trained as lawyers, and I was quite alienated from the language and mindset of the interactions.

I would like the full text to begin at the beginning of the blog post, from "Many years ago..." and continue all the way to the end.

I have tried many settings and I can get only split text, or no intro text, or only intro text, but not both intro text and the full text from the BEGINNING of the post. Is this possible?
