Component is already updated, but Agora for joomla 1.7 is not yet released. So Post by Email for Joomla 1.7 work only with content, Kunena forum and Jomsocial, not with Agora. Posting in agora will be added when agora for joomla 1.7 is released. Updated is Post By Email Pro (price 39 USD), not standart version of Post By Email (price 19 USD). What's New in nevest Post by Email for Joomla 1.7 and 1.6?  We develop duplicate content check in extension - title alias is checked. If in database atready is content item with exact title alias, content item will be not imported. This work only with content, not in JomSocial, Kunena or Agora - all of them dont have duplicate content check. 1. New feature one: Post by Email for Joomla 1.7 have separate parsers for different site types also. You will can make parser for some type of email messages and add this parser to component. Every email box can work with different parser also. With this feature you can format content from different sources in different ways and post only some parts of emails to content or post different parts of emails to different content items. 2. New feature two: Duplicate content protection function. When function is switched on (checkbox) and content item with exact title is already in database, email will be not imported. New version of Post by Email Pro for Joomla 1.7 and Joomla 1.6 is ready and available for online purchase (post is edited on 17 October 2011). The Joomla 1.6 - 1.7 version of Post By Email is available as of today.
The features from the previous post are already available: optional additional parser for each mailbox and article's title duplicate check when posting in com_content. These are available in the J1.5 version of the component as well. New features for JomSocial, unavailable in the J1.5 version: 1. You may choose where to publish the email's content: on the wall or as status update. 2. If you choose to publish it as status update, you can control whether the "Comment" and "Like" buttons are enabled or not. |
