Microformat Votes Not Working, voting stars appear but vote not registered Options

I have just purchase microformat votes and straight away have hit a problem. I have installed the plugin and using the content.ini the voting stars appear on my articles, however clicking on a star to vote doesn't register the vote, I just get the rotating wait icon.

Firebug apparently shows a mootools error (see screenshot).

Site is Joomla 3.2.4

This can be because on your server short php opening tag is disabled.
To fix this you have two choices.

1. Enable short opening tags by adding in php.ini Maybe you need to edit it, if exists "short_open_tag=Off"

2. Edit plugin source to remove short tags
2.1 Open file "/plugins/system/microformatsvotes/ajax.php" find around line 21
Find:

    exit;
}

Replace with:

<?php
    exit;
}

That will fix short tag problem.
