Pdf Attachment's Name In Post By Email Pro Options

Many of our emails have more than one attachment and as per the instructions on:

I'm using the following HTML container:

CODE

<p><a href="%s" title="Attachment" style="clear:both" target="_blank" />Attachment</a></p>

but the problem is that people can't distinguish which attachment is which.

I tried substituting the word "Attachment" with %s but then it shows the Subject of the email twice (with two attachments).

Is there a way to display the file-name?

Well no answers so I hacked the code and it works, the problem is that every update I'll lose the hack and I'll need to go back to make the changes again... Wish the developers would see this post and maybe add it as an option (or I'm willing to make the necessary documented-modifications to add this option to the admin in case they want to include it in a later release).

In case some one needs it, this is what I did for Post by Email Pro ver 1.9:

edit file: administrator/components/com_post_by_email/helpers/helper.php

and modify line 391

from:

CODE

$replacement = sprintf($attachment_container, $replacement, $subject);

to:

CODE

$replacement = sprintf($attachment_container, $replacement, $local_name);

and then you could use the following HTML container:

CODE

<p><a href="%s" title="Attachment" style="clear:both" target="_blank" />%s</a></p>

and that would create the link:

CODE

<p><a href="http://your.domain/images/postbymaildirectory/filename.pdf" title="Attachment" style="clear:both" target="_blank" />filename.pdf</a></p>
