Installed as instructions and I cannot get it to work at all. Not showing buttons on front for listing vip using Joomla 2.5.14 Mosets 3.0.10 -------------------- I don't need Google my wife knows everything

Did you read Guide For Mosets Tree and is this with plugin for mtree 3 (in package are 2 versioms of plugin - one for mtree 2, one for mtree3)?

Your error is due on wrong custom field configuration in Mosets Tree 3. In latest mosets tree you can assign custom fileds to selected categories only.
So, if you want to show this custom field on website, you must click on some categories (at least one) in custom field configuration - see screen:  After this, links to pay for VIP listng are show in website immediately. Yes, will work, jomla 1.7 and 2.5 are the same. You have files and changes needed for Mosets Tree 2.xx in package.
