Thank you for pointing out that I needed to set up a Cron job. Since I am completely unfamiliar with those, I'm sure that's why I glossed over that part of your topic.
The basic setup area of my Cron job record calls for a URL. I have tried copying and pasting the string from your topic exactly as it appears: curl -sS "http://your-post-by-email-site.com/administrator/components/com_post_by_email/cron.post_by_email.php" >> /dev/null As well as just the URL: Код http://your-post-by-email-site.com/administrator/components/com_post_by_email/cron.post_by_email.php And neither seems to work. Would you please clarify whether I need to include the "curl -sS" and ">> /dev/null" immediately before and after the URL? What else might be keeping this from publishing automatically? Is there something else I can check? Everything else associated with Post by Email (importing of posts by clicking Import, for example) is working perfectly aside from the auto publishing... Thanks again for the help! Melanie |

You must ask your host support 2 things:
1. Is curl working for your account? 2. If curl not wrok, you can use cron like this: Код /usr/local/bin/php -q /relative path to host directory/public_html/administrator/components/com_post_by_email/cron.post_by_email.php >> /dev/null But again your host support must say you what is the right path "relative path to host directory". -------------------- Правила на форума | Forum Rules | How to receive support. 3D Web Design: Уеб дизайн, Seo оптимизация, Web Site Extensions, Oscommerce Addons, Wordpress plugins and Joomla Extensions.
