I set a different template for this component than what is on the rest of the site


when a user tries to save his predictions and is unsuccesful, he is redirected to:

mywebsite.com/index.php?option=com_sportspredictions&view=matches

which loads in the website default template

how can I make all component pages load in the same template?

All component pages are loaded in the same template by default. I dont know what is wrong in your joomla installation, but we dont have test component with different templates for different pages types.
