Post By Email - Content Between - Configuration Question Options

Using the PBE "Content Between" feature I want to strip out the email signatures using the following configuration but it's not working:

Using the email content below the rule should import everything from the beginning of the email to "Thank you" but it imports the entire message.

Suggestions?

Sheriff Creel received a donation of $4,000.00 from Dr. David Bellamy and Dr. Hank Hutchinson increasing the reward to $5,000.00 for information resulting in the arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the graffiti over the past weekend.

Jayw, in your example extension can't find start string. You must configure at least two things: text_marker_start and text_marker_end.

Can a wildcard character be used in "text_marker_start" and "text_marker_end"? i.e., some kind of regexp or alternative?

Where the "*" matches the first character it finds.

The emails I'm trying to import are generated by individuals (see the sample in the first post) and are not template based so I can't use CSS selectors nor can I count on matching something with "text_marker_start."

Regular expressions are not supported. In this case, there is no way to retrieve the content from the beginning to somewhere. You need to know exactly from where to where.
