Iphone Blogging Attachment Problem Options

Hello.

We installed the latest PBE for Joomla 2.5.27. If we send E-Mails by iPhone the Attachments will not be displayed. Mode is set "iPhone". There is an Foto.JPG, but not in the image folder.

Do you know about that bug?

Mode = Default means that the component will work as it worked by now: the last part of the message, which is not an attachment, will be set as a content of the resulting article; the rest will be ignored. E.g. if you have an e-mail with two variants of the message (plain text and HTML), the plain text variant will be ignored and the HTML variant will be set as the article's body.

Mode = iPhone means that no part of the message will be ignored. All these parts will be concatenated using the HTML code, set in the concatenation html setting (e.g. <br />, <hr />, etc.).



The difference between the two modes (iPhone and Default) is, that the first one (iPhone mode) concatenates all the message parts to form the article, and the Defaul mode gets only the last chunk. E.g., if you have a message, containing both a HTML version and a plain text version of the same message, the iPhone mode will result in an article with doubled content (plaint text + HTML), and the Defaul mode will return only the HTML version (as it usually comes last).

The images, attached to an iPhone messages, are usually positioned inline, so using the iPhone parsing mode will preserve the structure of the original message.

I see image correct in html code. May be just pictire is not downloaded well. Are you importing emails and pictures both times (android and iphone) from the same email box? And how many emails are in this box?

May be you just don't have enough power on server. Download images function require more resources - memory limit and max execute time php setting. I recommend you memory limit 128 mb or over and max execute time 60 or more seconds. If you import many pictures and emails at once, configure it at 120 seconds - is very slow process.

P.S. PBE versions for Joomla 3 and for Joomla 2.5 are different. But only Joomla 2.5 version support Iphone mode.
