Problems With Post By Email Component Options

Hi there, first I would like to tell you that you are amazing!!!!, this is a very good component.

I have a little problem when I try import the emails to my articles.



I have the joomla email settings like this.




and post by email settings like this.



I cheeked the MBString PHP extension as well and is enable.



I was using your demo on your website using my gmail account and works fine, but I no sure why don't works on my joomla.
please help me.

- I'm using Joomla! 2.5.7
- Post by email version post_by_email_pro_1.7.5 for joomla 2.5-for older kunena

Joomla! email settings have nothing to do with post by email. Joomla email settings are settings how to to send emails. Post by email receive and import emails, not send.

If you got message: unable to establish connection to pp3 server: your configuration is wrong or you just don't have connection to server.

Please, read guide for gmail configuration again:

Configuration of Gmail Accounts
- Be sure that pop3 protocol is switched ON for account before test!
- Mail Server: ssl://pop.gmail.com
- port: 995
- ssl must be switched ON in your email settings
- Read this for configuration: Gmail Accounts Setup

I see that your port is also wrong, must be 995.

Sorry, I can't find where I can switch it on the SSL in my email settings, I was confused with Joomla email settings.
and I pretty sure that I already have the 995 port in my emails setting in the port_by_email.

I am now getting the same error message in my setup.
It was working perfectly via CRON until last week and now I am getting the following error when I try to manually import an e-mail:

[ssl://pop.gmail.com:995]: Unable to establish link to the POP3 server. POP3 connect: Error [101] [Network is unreachable]

No settings have been changed as I havent even been IN the backend of my site in a few weeks

POP is enabled on my Gmail account

PBE settings are as follows:

Mail Server : ssl://pop.gmail.com
Port: 995
Login username: *this is correct*
password: *this is correct*
Delete Processed e-mails: no
parser: none

Ok. I have found out that it is CSF Firewall that is blocking the extension.
I disabled the firewall and PBE works again
Any idea which setting in CSF I need to modify in order to allow the extension to access my gmail account?
Dont really want to run with my firewall disabled

We don't know CSF Firewall. Ask extension developer.
