Version 3.2.0 has been released today for both Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5.

Changes:
1. Bug is fixed, which was effectively disabling the plugin's ability to support periodical voting.
2. A new tag option is added: nodisplay (J1.6-2.5 only). It allows to disable the plugin on a per item (article, category, listing, product) basis, e.g.: {plgMFV nodisplay}

Now you can have votes where you want in Joomla - you have option to have ratings in content categories and in 10 of most popular joomla components. You can disable only votes or you can disable plugin in general only on selected page.

IMPORTANT NOTE (for the users of the Joomla 1.5 version of the plugin): after the plugin has been updated, go to the plugin's settings and set the "Check DB Table" option to "Yes". It will be automatically switched back to "No" after the plugin creates and updates the DB tables it depends on. If you fail to do this the plugin may not work properly.

Changes: Added is support for Kunena 2.0 and over. Now you can have votes and microformats on topics pages and on categories pages in latest Kunena.

Only Joomla 2.5 version is updated!

Today Googe introducing ”Author Stats” in Googe Webmaster Tools that shows how often your content is showing up on the Google search results page.

The plugin is now updated so that the code snippet is no longer offset when using Microdata (the -25000px are gone). A fourth rich snippets format is added - Microdata [new schema], which uses the current microdata schema (read more at schema.org), However, somewhat better results are achieved with the Microdata [old schema] rich snippets (at least in the Google's testing tool)...

Anyway, new version of Microformats votes is here. Are updated both versions - for Joomla 1.5 and for Joomla 2.5.

Added are new "meta tags in body" options to show meta tags in html body. Update is related to new version of Microformats for Oscommerce.

These options are only for microdata - microdata old schema and microdata "new schema".

Well, it seems that MFV (and every other plugin, which relies on AJAX calls to files, not residing in the root directory) ceases to function when there is com_ZOO installed and the Widgetkit ZOO system plugin is enabled.

As the base dir of the called URL does not coincide with the site root, Widgetkit ZOO causes PHP to die with:

Fatal error: Class 'systemHelper' not found in /home/*******/public_html/administrator/components/com_zoo/framework/classes/app.php on line xxx

After a quick search in Google for "joomla class systemHelper" (surprisingly the top results were ZOO related), the following emerged (the user's problem is exactly the same):

I have contacted Zoo support and they have looked the problem in my website. After they look it, the response was this:

well, there is a problem that is not easy to fix. ZOO actually makes sure that you don't get out of your Joomla root dir. I am uncertain as to how the Multisite extension works exactly, but I guess it is setting the Joomla root directory and thereby confuses the ZOO. But it seems other components like com_extplorer are having trouble there too.

Now a layout filter may be added to the Disabled views setting. The format is:

com_component[:disabled_view[=disabled_layout1,disabled_layout2,...]]

E.g.:

disables the plugin in option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog.


Now you can disable plugin on only on blog view of category pages and is possible to have microformats in categories.

IN product description is this example:

{plgMFV virtuemart.product 3 nodisplay} - the rating info for the Virtuemart product with ID 3 will be not displayed and users will not be able to vote for this product.

You can do this only with tag nodisplay - post {plgMFV nodisplay} in article content. You have option to use tag plgMFV in plugin configuration.

Updated today: is added integration with Virtuemart categories for Joomla 2.5 version. Now you can have ratings for Virtuemart 2 categories. You can add votes to all categories or only to a certain level categories, for example only to subcategories.

Microformats votes v.3.5 is here. Today is added version for Joomla 3.0 in plugin package. Now in package are three versions - one for Joomla 1.5, one for Joomla 2.5 and for Joomla 3.

Pligin support Joomla 3.0 in content and K2 only! May be will work with some other components, but is not tested!

The 3.5 version of the plugin has its JS optimized and some offset divs removed (no hidden display). It is available for Joomla 1.5, 1.6-2.5 and 3.0.

Is recommended to use option "Microdata - old schema"!

That code cant worke.
I think this here means the database tabe '_com_sobipro.entry')); but in sobi2 they are _com_sobi2
Next part is the field: .entry' but there isnґt a field enty
