Post By Email And Spam, Controlling and monitoring spam Options

I am ready to purchase the Pro version of Post by EMail but still have
some concerns on security and unauthorized spam news.

If I provide the hidden email to our volunteers and it later gets out
to disgruntled ex-member and/or spammers, what is to stop
them from posting spam in our Post by Email?

I would like to see a required password or an approval system that
would limit the incoming "news" and emails to post.

There might be a key phrase which must be present in the message's subject in order the message to be transferred into a post. The key phrase will be adjustable as a part of the e-mail's settings. This feature will be added in the next version of the Post By Email component.

Thank you, I have installed the component and it works and can definitely be a time
saving tool. I have set it up to where I get the email news, clean it up, and then
forward it to our Joomla Site. That keeps the name of the email truly secret.
(If I give the secret email out to our 25 news contributors, I fully suspect it
will end up in the wild with others starting to contribute less appropriate news.

I'm having a little adding images, whether embedded or attached.

When you get this tweaked to where Joomla administrators can send
a news release/flash news that looks and displays like the industry
standard email releases (ConstanT Contact, etc) it will be a very hot
Joomla component!

One last wish, add a remote "Import" option. This would allow an
admin to review news submissions when they are imported manually.
We don't want to have inappropriate or poorly formatted news sitting on
website for days before we notice something needs correction.

Even with Google Translator (which does not do complete translations),
those of us with limited multi-language skills have problems navigating your site
