Please, post new topic in support forum:
Post here detailed info about version and your, link to your site etc. where we can see problem.


Note that: Extension does not work with encryption (email boxes like gmail work only with encryption) and attachments (like pictures) in post are not supported.


In most cases users configure extension to work with wrong options - username and port of email are very sensitive, example options are in this picture:

Note that options like this on screen must be from your cpanel or from your control panel where you create email box!
If you enter one wrong option like port in example extension will not work!

Note that: Database of this Demo site is nulled every 30 minutes.
If you save some menu or some content, everything will be deleted after max. 30 minutes.

If there are no incoming server port - test with standart port 110.

I test just now your site - i test with cronjob and manually - in admin.

I just import 4 emails - you can see result in content items.

Note: You can use option Delete Processed Content - Si. This option prevent insert of emails many times.

I do not get the component working, tested it on joomla sites on 2 different servers and with 2 different approved email accounts. No posting visible at all. Settings were made according to your sample.
What can I do now?

schrat, right way is with cron job. Use this: If curl not work on your host.

Hi, i'm trying to use the "Import to Jomsocial Wall App" option, but when I do I get the following error:

Error: the XML response that was returned from the server is invalid.

And the progress bar in the ajax part just says "processing".

This only happens with the jomsocial wall, if I switch to articles it works just fine.

"Post by Email" for Joomla is updated today to work with newest Jomsocial. Newest version is tested and is working with Jomsocial 1.8.11 and with Jomsocial 2.0.

Please, login and download update from menu that appear at top left after login "My orders"

What new parameter you need?

access level would work if i didnt want the title to be a teaser, then they register to see the full item

Why you need this, you can just place in email:

{reg} content of email {/reg}

I would not always be the one sending the emails.
a cron job would parse a particlar email address and then post them to the content.
i dont trust users to add the {reg} {/reg}
