Pictures Are Not Downloaded By Joomla Aggregator Gold Options

Question from one of our customers today:

I have one issue that I can not find help too on your forum/supportpage:
I can't get the image download to work, is there a known issue in this matter?

I have enabled the function and tried different feeds but get no download of images.
Folder status:
/images/stories
Status (Exist / Writable) :Yes / Yes

My answer:
This depend by options of php of your server. You must set max_execute_time in your php.ini file to 200-300 seconds. Note that not all hosting companies allow this.

To do this make php.ini with this: max_execution_time = 300

Note that some websites does not allow download pictures - this is configured by deny directive in htaccess in website where you get pictures. If this is happened, just try with other site.

To download images our aggregator use php function: file_get_contents and allow_url_fopen
In some cases hosting companies switched off this function. Send question to your hosting provider if these functions are supported.

Problem number two:
memory_limit: 32M

Note that recommended settings fo this version of aggregator is: 64 MB memory and over.
Version of php on your host must be > 5.2.xx

Note that feeds from some sites not allow importing - this is blocked by htaccess of administrator of site.

Mask simplepie parser that Joomla Aggregator use like Mozilla Firefox
