If the administrator directory of my joomla installation is password protected, and i want it to remain like that, what can I do in order to be able to set up a cron job?

When mycron.php is executed, it will always get an authentication request.

How can I overcome this limitation? Can I somehow access cron.aggregator.php inside mycron.php in a different manner (not through http) in order to avoid the .htaccess checkup?

If folder is password protected and cron is activated from url in browser, cron will not work. But if is activated from php script, will work.
