Item Created But Not Assigned To Author In K2: Post By Email, solved Options

I am successfully importing emails and having them make k2 items. everything about this extension works great EXCEPT for assigning a specific user to be the ITEM CREATED BY variable.

Under publish settings, I have publish content in k2 then i select a specific user from a drop down for the Item Created By. I hit save and then import an email to test. The k2 item is still being created by another user instead of the one i specify. any reason why this might be happening? k2? the email address of the person who sent the original email?

I've also tried to login as another user then hitting import and that does not work either. All three users in the drop down are super admins.

May be K2 team have made some changes in latest K2 version. Will be tested again today and i will post here reply.
What is your K2 version and Joomla version?

There is no bug, this is standart function in component: If exists user with same email as sender, then this user will be pointed as author of article.

Example: in post by email your configuration for "Item created by" is pavelkukov.

User pavelkukov is registered with email pavel@gmail.com
User administrator is registered with email admin@gmail.com

case sender is "pavel@gmail.com" author will be pavelkukov
case sender is "admin@gmail.com" author will be administrator
case sender is "other@gmail.com" author will be pavelkukov
