I then deleted all of the posts from the forum category and seeded them with a number of original posts. I then tried to reply to a couple of them via email and am now getting the following error: Test 11/28 2:33: ***ERROR (com_kunena) Unable to post message: Cannot save topic: Subject is empty! Test 11/28 2:52: ***ERROR (com_kunena) Unable to post message: Cannot save topic: Subject is empty! 2 emails imported (CSX Support 2 Mailing List) in 2 seconds In fact, the subject of the emails was not empty. Any idea what's going on and how I can fix it? |

I was unable to replicate your problem. As you sent me forwarded messages, first I created a topic with subject, matching the subject of your messages. Then I ran the PBM importer. Your messages were added in the existing topic with the right subject, no error messages were noticed:

That's strange. I'll create a site that's outside our firewall and try to reproduce it. Possibly I'm setting up something wrong.

I attempted to reproduce the issue in a server external to our fire wall and I wasn't able to do it. I then completely reinstalled Joomla, Kuena, and Post By Email, including wiping out the database, on our internal server. Threading now appears to be working. So there must have been some issue with the installation which the re-installation didn't hit.
I have another question which I'll post in another thread so it doesn't get confusing. |

I take back what I said in the previous post. I'm still getting the topics mixed up. I'll do more testing on the external server to see if I can get it to happen there.

I reproduced the problem on the server outside of the firewall and sent you the admin login information. It's a raw Joomla installation with no real content, and is setup with Post By Email and Kunena.
