I was wondering if there is a way to remove the filter from the front-end by the predictions. I have only a couple of games each week so I don't need the filter and it looks big and not so nice.

Hi,

you can remove it from components/com_sportpredictions/views/predictions/tmpl/default.php

Remove/comment out :

<section id=game filters>
....
</section>

You can also move it after the games if you like. Just move that section after predictions section.

Running a tipsters competition on Italian Serie A on joomla 2.5 with component bought in August 2013.

Never updated because I am scared I will mess up sometingh with the website

I will update by the end of May 2014 to get ready for world cup

The point is: is there any way to add a feature in the PRIVATE/PUBLIC prediction mode?
I want picks to be PRIVATE until the match start. When it comes the time for the match i want them to be public

For esample there is TEAM1 vs TEAM2 at 15.00
Users can't see others' predictions until 15.00
at 15.00 users cant modify their own predictions (as it is now) but they CAN SEE OTHERS' at 15.00 (during matchtime)

Is there any way to add this feature?

I see 2 downloads in your account. We can't know what versions you have downloaded and when, only number of downloads are counted.

I think you can see download date so you can check it were not different versions maybe.

Hi. We're not as experienced as some of the other users and would like a little help.
1. How can the floating login buttton be removed? We'd like to edit/remove it along with the 'please login message' and use our own site login feature.
2. Is it possible to have a review predictions button/function that allows players to see all their predictions on one page and after predictions have been reviewed, a confirm entry button?
3. Once scores are entered, we'd like to make them read only so that players cannot change them, but we still want them to be able to make new entries.

Yes, a confirm button by the predictions would be great. It's a little confusing without.

i disagree, simpler is always better

I did an update of joomla to 3.2.2 a couple days ago. Since then I've got troubles for entering a prediction in front-end. It doesn't save the things I've entering anymore. It works perfect before the update. There for maybe a confirm button would be a great solution.

Sports Predictions is tested with all joomla! versions to Joomla 3.2.1. We will test it in monday with latest version 3.2.2 also - if we find some problem, will be fixed and we will post here the solution.

Today i was able to preform tests with latest joomla 3.2.2 and latest sports predictions 2.0.2
Component works well. If you have problems @kurtkv reason is not in sports predictions. It is possible conflict with other javascript or error in some other component, module or plug-in.

What's new for Sports predictions 1.4.4 - short:
1. Tabsed views. Nested structure for tornaments. All sub tournaments are represented as tabs.
2. JSONRPC(No page refresh) powred interface. Games load and predictions create/edit/cancel.
3. Improved code for compatibility with php 5.4


Full description: New "Tabs" functionality is presented.
You can choose to display games(1X2 is supported) in tabs or in an old way.
Tabbed views have few extras.
- Save predictions with AJAX(without refreshing page)
- Load more games in list with AJAX.
- Nested tabs support.
- Support for tree structured tournaments.
In tabbed view only top level tournaments are in the drop-down menu.
All sub tournaments are transformed into tabs.
If you choose to use tabs you will be able to create games only in tournaments without children.
You can choose theme for tabs in component options. All themes are from jquery ui theme roller.

Set error reporting in php.ini to:
error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~E_STRICT

Because if they appear this can break functionality of the entire component.
They can increase potential risks by exposing information that must not be seen publicly.
It is preferable to deactivate them on production environment.
Notices and strict standards warnings are just informative and if they are suppressed this will not harm to your system.

also can i make a suggestion? when we create menu item and choose to show tournament or standings, why not give ability in settings to chose which tournament to show and which tournament to show standings for? and also how the standings should be ordered?

that way we dont have to figure out the link to create the desired menu item
