This is from joomla 2.5 duplicate content protection, not from our component. If you try to make 2 or more content items with exact names, this will be shown every time.

Now you have imported item with some title and you try to import this item again or to import email/item with the same title. Keep in mind that are counted trashed articles also, so, if you have many items in trash - delete it.

Hi- I am having problems installing the component with Joomla 1.5.26 and Kunena 2.0.3. I installed the package, but when I select Post By Email from the component menu, there is nothing there--it has th etitle of the component, but that is it. I looked and it is enabled. What might I have done wrong?

I just bought The Post By Email extension and I find it quite confusing to use. I am in fact not sure that it's the extension I am looking for.

But right now I run a forum, and once a user receives a notification that their topic has been replied to, they can then "reply" to that notification through email (instead of logging on to the forum and posting) to reply to the forum post.

Is that not what this extension does? If so, I can't figure out at all how to get it going..

Is there any way I could contract you to set this up? I can't for the life of me get this going at all. Would it be possible to pay you to set it up? The documentation is really unhelpful for my configuration, and there's a bit of a language gap.

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this, but I couldn't find where to put it.

I had some problems with attached images, they didn't show up. So I tried setting the "Set K2 image" to off. And what do you know, Images show up as they should.

However, this doesn't solve anything because I still need the K2 image to be set, and preferably there should be some way of stating WHICH image is the K2 article image (ex. {imgName.jpg} to define the K2 items "main" image).

Also, When I enter an image, and type text between the images, the text is gone when publishing

This needs to be adressed as well ... thank you for considering fixing these problems

PS. I'm stilling wondering if there will be any possibility in the near future to add tags to K2 items from post by email with, ex. #tag1 #tag2 etc (twitter style). DS

Where do I have to create the "postbyemail" directory?

You can create directory with any name. Must be folder inside images/

OK, I have just had a help message popup telling me that I must create it with the images directory such as images/postbyemail rather than in the images/stories/postbyemail

Yes, must be inside images/ , sorry. Folder must be with 755 permissions.

Great, I have that sorted now but another issue has arisen:

I have added .pdf to the list of accepted images: application/pdf

When I post an email to the server with an attached pdf file that has spaces in the file name I just get something like the following in the body of the article:


This of course is unclickable and of no use to man nor beast in retrieving the pdf for viewing. Can this be sorted?
