I installed "Post by Mail" and fixed the various problems I encountered while browsing this forum.

However, I still have a problem I can not solve: the accented letters are not displayed correctly.

The letters é, è, à, ç appear correctly in the title (the subject line), but are replaced in the message body.

I think it is a charset problem but I can not solve it ...

Pc that send email must have this language installed or some preference in email box maybe. Component dont have any stripping or other code to replace these symbols.

I use Outlook 2007 and tried several character encodings (UTF8, ISO, UNICODE), the problem remains the same.

It seems that there is a problem with the quoted_printable transfer encoding which somehow slips through the message parser untranslated. As we do not have a copy of the e-mail you've parsed we have to guess what's happening... Could you please send us an e-mail message containing these characters to test@3dwebdesign.org?

Meanwhile you can try adding the following code in /administrator/components/com_post_by_email/controller.php on line 759 right after $content = trim($content);:

$content = quoted_printable_decode($content);

and see if the problem persists...

We can change this for you in code, but not in next 10 days - all team is on vacation from 28 July to 10 August and there is no notebooks, no internet - only nature. We have only support to 10 August, not developers and web designers.

The problem was that inside the header of your test message was false header elements as Content-Type, Content-Transfer-Encoding and these header elements are before the actual values. We add a requirement for these elements to be at the beginning of the line.

This is not possible, we test changes with your email that was sent to test at 3dwebdesign. With what type of email client you create and send emails?

If possible, please, create one temporary admin account in your site and send me login data tosee and test.

Learnup, today i check again and see that our forum re-format posted here php code. I dont know why, but our forum re-format code yourself and is not possible to post here the right php code.

I just send you the right modified controller.php over email. Extension is updated in our file directory also.

We cant do more and we cant see and resolve the problem without access to joomla admin and to email box. I know that this is not possible on some websites, but this is the only way.

Problem can be due on your email client configuration or encoding of email that You have send and import, If you send email with some non-latin symbols, encoding of sent email must be right and your joomla must be configured to work with this language.

And at least browser must be with this language installed to see result
