Joomla 1.7 must be updated to Joomla 2.5 not over updater, on many hosts this old and buggy updater not work.

The problem is that quoted on so many articles in joomla.org and on other websites zip packages are deleted long time ago from joomla's server.

So, i will post these packages here and every user with joomla 1.7 update problems can download it for free, install it and upgrade your install to Joomla! 2.5.

So, Joomla 1.7 must be updated to Joomla 2.5 manual, over installation of zip package. The guide is simple:

1. First download and install (over joomla! installer) file Joomla_1.7.0_to_1.7.5-Stable-Patch_Package.zip to update to latest J1.7 version!
2. Than install Joomla-1.7-to-2.5.0-Stable-Update-Package.zip to update to 2.5! In this way your joomla will be upgraded to version 2.5.0.
3. After this update immediately to latest Joomla! 2.5, because older 2.5 versions have security bug fixes! Download Joomla 2.5.x to 2.5.28-Stable-Patch Package or you can find other packages here: files to update to latest Joomla 2.5 on joomla.org here.
