Show Trackback Link: Yes or No
Whether or not you wish to display a link to the originating site in your content items. Displaying the link is generally considered proper etiquitte, and may even be a requirement for using some feeds.

Trackback Link Text:
The text you would like to display for the link to the originating site. Maybe something like "Full Story...", or if you're using the verbose option something like "Read more at:". With the verbose option, the full URL to the original content will follow the link text, but only the URL will be hyper-linked.

Target frame: blank, self or top.
The target frame for Trackback Links. The default of 'None' means links will be opened in the current window. In a modern standards compliant and accessible world, it is considered bad form to open links in new windows.

Show section: Yes or No. Show section title in news.

Show section link: Yes or No. Show link to section in news.

Show category: Yes or No. Show category title in news.

Show category link: Yes or No. Show link to category in news.

The number of days each content item should remain published. If you set this to 0 or leave it blank, content items will remain published indefinitely. This parameter has no effect if automatic publishing is disabled.

User creator: choice of regged users in website. With use for Deep links directory this option is very usefull.

Default Author:
The text you want to appear in the author_alias field when "Use Default" is selected above. Remember that Save Author must be set to yes in order for this parameter to have any effect.

Save author alias: Yes or No
If set to yes then Joomla Aggregator will look for an "author" or "creator" tag on your feeds and save the data in the author_alias field of your content. Not many feeds include this value, however, so if you don't want the author_alias field to be blank, use one of the parameters below. If this option is set to no, then neither of the next two options will have any effect.

If author is missing: Use Title or Default.
What to do in the likely event that an author is not associated with the feed. According to the RSS2.0 specification, all feeds are required to include a "Title". Set this option to "Use Title" if you want Joomla Aggregator to use the feed title as the author_alias on content items that don't specify an author, otherwise choose "Use Default" and enter a value below (or you can leave it blank).

Content SEO. Content SEO processing Options is for Pro version of Aggregator only!

Before title:
Insert your keyword or words before title. Dont forget to insert space After words.

After title:
Insert your keyword or words After title. Dont forget to insert space before words.

Before meta tags:
Insert your keyword or words Before imported from title keywords.

After meta tags:
Insert your keyword or words After imported from title keywords.

Before item:
Insert your Html Code Before item.

After item:
Insert Html Code After item.

Meta Options

Meta tags reorder: Shuffle, Default and Backwards. This Option is for Pro version only!
Rss Aggregator for Joomla import automatically Keywords from title.
Shows three different ways of keywords ordering. Shuffle randomize order of automatically imported keywords.

Max number of tags:
The maximum number of tags (meta keywords) to save with your content items. The most relevant N tags are saved (Where N is the number you enter here). This parameter has no effect if meta tag computation is disabled. Leave this blank or set to 0 to save all possible tags, although this would probably be a bad idea.

Min character in tags:
The minimum number of characters a tag must contain. Larger numbers here might improve the quality and significance of the tags stored with your data. This only has an effect if Compute Meta Tags is enabled.

Compute Meta Tags: Yes or No
Whether or not meta tags should be extracted from the text of RSS feed content and stored as meta keywords with your content items. There are two types of meta tag computation: 1. The default, which uses a simple word frequency algorithm to compute mete tags, and 2. Yahoo Term Extraction (see below).

Save feed categories: Yes or No
Some RSS feeds include Subject or Category data for their content. If this parameter is set to yes then Joomla Aggregator will save the categorical information in the feed as tags (meta keywords) with your content items. The parameter is independent of the "Compute Meta Tags" parameter - one or the other, both, or neither may be enabled, and category tags are not included in the Max Number of Tags parameter above.

Save section/category: Yes or No
Set this to yes if you want to store your Joomla section and category names as tags in your imported content. This is similar to the feature found on the Edit Content page of Joomla, except the Joomla Aggregator does not store the Title. This parameter is independent of the "Compute Meta Tags" parameter - one or the other, both, or neither may be enabled, and category tags are not included in the Max Number of Tags parameter above.

Cronjobs (Crons)
Make it possible to insert the feed you want in a day, hour, minute, month you want.
Note that you need hosting capabilities to run for Cron Jobs (Some hosting companies are already banned in the Cpanel present standard). Ask your hosting provider if this feature works on their servers. Hosting providers in Bulgaria in which it operates are: SuperHosting, Host Bulgaria, ICN.

Crons Options in joomla admin

How exactly works with Joomla Aggregator cron jobs:
1. activate Cron by control panel of your hosting to run every N minutes.
2. When activation of cron examine if the time and date of Cron configuration of the RSS is reached, if reached respective feed is imported, if not cron continues around to the next feed.
3. Sample Cron whith activation of the Cpanel:

curl -sS ""  >> /dev/null

/usr/local/bin/php -q /relative-path-to-host-directory/public_html/administrator/components/com_3daggregator/cron.3daggregator.php  >> /dev/null

What are the steps to have a fully automated site rss news:
1. Enter rss emissions.
3. Adjust your schedule for each RSS (in administrator of your joomla).
4. Go to your hosting control panel. Link to your cpanel on most hosting companies are:

5. Code for cpanel with active curl:

curl -sS "" >> /dev/null

If your hosting do not support curl make this steps:

5.1 Create file with name mycron.php
5.2 Code for this php file:
$a = file_get_contents('');

5.3 Upload file mycron.php in your public_html.
5.4 Create cronjob in your cpanel with command:
/usr/local/bin/php -q /relative path to host directory/public_html/mycron.php >> /dev/null

You can see relative path to host directory in cpanel like on this screen:

6. Set cron to run every 15 (recommended) or 30 minutes.
In Unix Style view this should be:
*/15 * * * *

7. Done. Already have a fully automated news site. All Rss feeds fully automatically enter the site at the moment that you want.

Examples of the automatic import of scheduled sample Rss feeds:
(in administrator of your joomla)
1. Import every hour. We rss 1 to enter the site automatically each hour and 5 munuti.
Command for cronjob: 5 * * * *
2. Import every hour, but only in the hours between 8 and 23 hours. rss 2 shall enter the site automatically each hour and 30 munuti but only during working hours.
Command for cronjob: 30 8-23 * * *
3. Importing in hours. We rss 3 to enter the site automatically every 2 hours and 5 munuti.
Command for cronjob: 5 * / 2 * * *
4. rss 4 - Import every evening at 21 and 50.
Command for cronjob: 50 21 * * *
5. Automatic start every first day of the month at 14:25
25 14 1 *
6. Automatic start only on weekends in 0:25
0 25 * * 1-5
7. Automatic start of importing through the day at 1:15
15 1 * / 2 *

Note: More examples appear in the page description of the configuration of the component.

Email Subject:
The text that should be displayed in the subject line of email reports sent to the Joomla Aggregator administrator. You can customize this to work with your email filters and rules.

HTML Email: Yes or No
Whether or not you want the import report sent in HTML format...Try it, the HTML email is nice and colorful, and easy to read smile.gif

Cache Options:

Use SimplePie Cache: Yes or No
Set this option to Yes if You want to enable SimplePie feeds cache.

Ignore List Options:

Use Ignore List: Yes or No
Whether or not to use the built-in ignore words list. The default ignore words list contains the 250 most common English words. Enabling the use of the ignore list can improve the quality of your meta tags by excluding common words. The excluded words list currently cannot be easily edited - this will be improved in a future version.

Re: CRON settings

I do not have CURL on my server.

I have created a CRON job pointing to mycron.php as you describe above, but it is not working.
I have also modified contents of mycron.php to actual filepath/filenames, as follows:

$a = file_get_contents('http://SUBDOMAIN.DOMAIN.COM/administrator/components/com_aggregator/cron.aggregator.php');

I have also tried running a CRON job that points directly to the following location and I still cannot get this to work:
(note: different file path to what is listed above - I have used the actual file path, i'm guessing this is correct?)

For testing purposes I have also configured the settings to run every minute in the Feed Cron tab as * * * * * as well as cPanel Cron.
Other CRON jobs are working on my server, but not Aggegator Platinum.
What else should I check?

Hello ,

I configured cron job , ... all what I need but nothing. Even I tried manually with SUBDOMAIN.DOMAIN.COM/administrator/...daggregator.php and I got Import finished but there are not any imported news...

Must I first activate Ioncube on my hosting? I 'm using Cpanel.
If you have any ideas how to solve this I will be happy
thanks in advanced
